Senior Controls/BMS Commissioning ManagerData Centre Sector - Ireland €120,000 - €140,000 Yearly SalaryLucrative Yearly BonusCar AllowancePer Diem/Travel AllowancePrivate HealthcarePensionGlobal PositionThe OpportunityClear. are currently supporting a leading global organisation within the mission-critical data centre sector in the search for a Senior Controls/BMS Commissioning Manager to join their global function.This is a senior-level appointment responsible for driving commissioning excellence across complex, large-scale infrastructure projects on a global basis.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support global controls commissioning activities across multiple live projectsDevelop and implement standardised commissioning strategies from planning through to handover (L0–L6)Act as subject matter expert for BMS / BAS / EPMS / PLC / SCADA systemsEnsure alignment of design intent with operational performance requirementsOversee systems integration across mechanical and electrical plant and equipmentDrive commissioning planning, scheduling, sequencing, and tag managementLead technical validation workshops and system completion planning sessionsEnsure strict adherence to safety systems including PTW, SSOW, and LOTOManage OFCI / CFCI vendor and contractor interfaces across complex delivery environmentsDevelop and review commissioning documentation, test scripts, and proceduresOversee loop checks, point-to-point testing, functional testing, and system start-upManage punch lists, defect resolution, and structured close-out processesSupport QA/QC teams to ensure quality-led commissioning delivery and minimal reworkDrive data-led decision making using completion and commissioning tracking systemsIdentify and mitigate risks across commissioning execution and system handoverProvide leadership to commissioning teams and underperforming stakeholders where requiredDesired ExperienceDegree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, Mechatronics or similar) preferred10+ years’ experience in commissioning and/or controls engineering in complex infrastructure environmentsStrong background in data centres or mission-critical facilities highly desirableExperience across industrial sectors such as oil & gas, power, pharma, or large-scale infrastructure advantageousProven experience leading commissioning teams in a matrix or multi-stakeholder environmentStrong understanding of project delivery from planning through commissioning and handoverProject management experience or certification (or equivalent practical experience)For more information, please reach out to - will.hennessy@clear-er.com
