Middle East, North Africa & ChinaAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Commodity Trader – Coffee & Tea to develop and expand our coffee and tea trading activities across the Middle East, North Africa (MENA), and China.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing profitable trading relationships, identifying new market opportunities, sourcing products internationally, and managing transactions from initial negotiation through to final delivery and payment.The role will focus particularly on commercial opportunities connected to our key markets and trading hubs in Dubai, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, while developing relationships with suppliers, roasters, tea and coffee companies, packers, distributors, importers, wholesalers, and other industry stakeholders.We are particularly interested in candidates who already possess a strong commercial network and can actively contribute to expanding our coffee and tea trading portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesTrade green and specialty coffee, as well as CTC and orthodox tea, across MENA and Chinese markets.Identify and develop new commercial opportunities in the UAE, wider MENA region, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other key Chinese markets.Build and manage relationships with roasters, coffee companies, tea companies, packers, distributors, wholesalers, importers, and institutional buyers.Source competitive coffee and tea products from international producing markets and develop commercially viable trade flows into the Middle East and China.Manage the complete trading cycle, including sourcing, pricing, sampling, negotiation, contracting, shipping, customs coordination, delivery, and payment collection.Develop efficient trade flows using UAE free-zone structures, Chinese import channels, regional warehousing, trade finance, and international shipping routes.Negotiate purchasing and sales terms while protecting margins and building sustainable long-term commercial relationships.Manage commodity price, foreign-exchange, credit, logistics, and counterparty risks.Monitor global and regional coffee and tea markets, including supply and demand, origin pricing, freight costs, currency movements, and changing consumer trends.Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, customs agents, financial institutions, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure efficient transaction execution.Ensure contracts, trade documentation, payment terms, and import requirements are properly managed.Represent the company at relevant coffee, tea, food and beverage, commodity, and trade events across the UAE, China, and international markets.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will have:3–5 years of relevant experience in coffee, tea, agricultural commodities, food ingredients, or related international trading.Demonstrated experience in the MENA and/or Chinese market, particularly Dubai, Shanghai, Guangzhou, or other major regional trading centres.A proven ability to originate and execute profitable commodity transactions.An active network of buyers, roasters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, packers, or other industry contacts.Strong understanding of international trade, including Incoterms, trade documentation, logistics, Letters of Credit (LCs), Cash Against Documents (CAD), and other international payment structures.Understanding of UAE and/or Chinese import procedures, customs requirements, free-zone operations, and trade-finance structures.Strong commercial judgment, negotiation skills, and ability to manage trading and counterparty risk.Excellent relationship-management and business-development capabilities.Fluency in English is required.Mandarin Chinese and/or Arabic is a strong advantage.Coffee cupping and/or professional tea-tasting experience is highly desirable.Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.What We OfferWe offer an opportunity to play a key role in developing an
