The role focuses on dependable communication between flight systems, payloads, ground stations, and companion computers.Responsibilities· Design, integrate, and validate communication systems for UAV and autonomous platforms.· Work on telemetry, command-and-control, and data-link systems.· Integrate and debug communication protocols across embedded systems.· Support flight controller, ground station, payload, and companion-computer connectivity.· Troubleshoot latency, packet loss, link reliability, interference, and range issues.· Collaborate with firmware and hardware teams on interface and protocol implementation.· Conduct field testing, validation, and reliability analysis.· Document communication architecture, test results, and system behavior.Minimum Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree or higher in Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience as a Communication Engineer – UAV Systems.Skills Required· Strong understanding of embedded communication systems· Knowledge of UAV communication architecture· Experience with telemetry and control communication· Good understanding of wireless and digital communication fundamentals· Ability to debug serial and network-based communication issues· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills· Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teamsAdded Skills Wanted· Exposure to MAVLink, UART, SPI, CAN, RS485, Ethernet, and serial protocol integration· RF basics, antenna behavior, and link reliability concepts, Packet analysis, and communication debugging· EMI/EMC awareness· Experience in UAV, robotics, defense, industrial, or autonomous systems· Ground station communication and payload communication experience· Field testing and range validation experienceBenefits· Competitive salary package· Comprehensive medical insurance· Annual leave in accordance with applicable company policies and Saudi regulations· Professional training and technical development opportunities· Opportunity to work on advanced autonomous systems and engineering technologies
