The company values precision, creativity, and problem-solving in every project.Role Description The Communications Tech/Programmer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater St. Louis area. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining communication and media systems, including cabling, hardware, and relevant software or control interfaces. Day-to-day tasks include programming and troubleshooting system components, performing diagnostics, and ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently according to design specifications. The individual will collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers to interpret technical drawings, implement electrical/media designs, and support system testing and commissioning. The role also involves documenting configurations, providing user support and training as needed, and continuously improving system performance and reliability.Qualifications Technical proficiency in communications, AV, and media systems, including installation, configuration, and basic programming of hardware and software.Solid understanding of electrical principles, low-voltage systems, and safe work practices around wiring, cabling, and equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and design plans, and to translate them into practical on-site implementation.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues efficiently.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and clients on-site.Comfort with hands-on work in field environments, including use of tools, test equipment, and adherence to safety and quality standards.Relevant technical training or certification in electronics, electrical technology, communications, or a related discipline; an associate degree or equivalent experience is beneficial.Previous experience in communications technology, AV integration, or electrical/media design support in a commercial or industrial setting is preferred.
