Community & Lifestyle Business Lead — Surf Clubhouse, Coffee & Retail

SURFBASE is building a surf clubhouse in Dubai: specialty coffee, a curated surf and lifestyle store, e-commerce, small events and an international community under one roof.We are looking for a hands-on business builder who can make the space commercially successful and culturally magnetic. This is not a traditional office operations role. You will shape the venue, grow revenue and margins, curate products, build the community and make people return.What you will own

• Build and run an outstanding coffee and sandwich offer that becomes a destination in its own right.
• Curate surf, outdoor and lifestyle brands; plan product drops, merchandising and SURFBASE merchandise.
• Grow in-store sales, delivery and e-commerce.
• Create 4–6 high-quality events per month: community nights, talks, screenings, brand activations, workshops and small collaborations for an international audience.
• Own operating results: revenue, gross margin, inventory, purchasing, waste, pricing, AOV, conversion and cash discipline.
• Build supplier and brand partnerships and negotiate strong commercial terms.
• Improve the physical space: atmosphere, lighting, music, displays and small details that make it memorable and shareable.
• Handle day-to-day operations hands-on and solve problems without waiting for a large team.
• Use AI productively, verify its output and turn it into reliable decisions and execution.What success looks like

• A coherent, desirable retail assortment with profitable drops and healthy stock rotation.
• Clear weekly metrics and a credible path toward AED 100,000 monthly contribution margin.
• A venue that feels unmistakably surf-led, warm and commercially alive.You may be a community builder, boutique hospitality operator, lifestyle retail lead, founder, concept-store manager or commercially minded events operator. We care more about evidence of what you personally built than corporate job titles.You should bring
• Real hands-on experience in café, hospitality, lifestyle retail, e-commerce, events or a community-led business.
• Direct ownership of P&L or commercial metrics, with specific numbers you can explain.
• Strong taste and visual judgement.
• Excellent English and confidence with an international audience.
• Genuine connection to surf, board sports, beach or outdoor culture.
• Comfort working on-site in Dubai, including weekends when the venue needs it.
• Current UAE presence and the ability to start quickly.CompensationAED 5,000–6,000 fixed per month plus uncapped profit share linked to measurable business results.
