Job Description - Community Manager The Biome is a private community and sounding board for accomplished leaders who believe that some of the most valuable conversations happen away from conference rooms, formal networks and transactional relationships. We bring together a carefully curated group of leaders across businesses, industries and experiences to create a space for honest conversations, intellectual exchange, meaningful relationships and shared learning. We are looking for a Community Manager to work closely with the Community Builders of The Biome. This person will provide the operational, organisational and communication support that enables them to focus on what matters most, building relationships, shaping the community and creating meaningful experiences for members. You will work behind the scenes to ensure that members are well looked after, experiences are executed seamlessly, information is organised and communication is thoughtful, timely and personal. You will be the operational backbone of The Biome. You will work closely with The Community Builders across the day-to-day running of The Biome, translating their direction into consistent, high-quality execution. Your role will span four areas: 1. Community & Members - help create a personal, thoughtful experience for every member: a. Support new member onboarding and ensure a smooth introduction to the community b. Maintain accurate member profiles, including professional backgrounds, interests and relevant preferences c. Coordinate member requests, introductions, follow-ups and commitments d. Track membership renewals, fees and other dues, and follow up with members appropriately e. Maintain complete discretion over all member information and conversations The goal: Make it easy for The Community Builders to know their members well and build meaningful relationships with them. 2. Experiences & Events - support the end-to-end execution of Deep Dives, Gatherings, dinners and offsites: a. Maintain event calendars, timelines and checklists b. Coordinate venues, vendors, speakers, guests and other partners c. Manage invitations, RSVPs, attendance and other arrangements d. Coordinate logistics before, during and after each experience e. Be present on-ground when required and solve issues as they arise f. Track event budgets, invoices and payments g. Capture relevant feedback and ensure appropriate post-event follow-through The objective is simple: the Community Builders should be able to focus on the people and the conversation because the execution is taken care of. 3. Research & Curation - help Community Builders and the Members Selection Committee make informed decisions about who enters the community and who joins its conversations: a. Research prospective members, guests, speakers and collaborators b. Prepare concise profiles and background notes c. Assess professional journeys, interests, relevance and potential contribution d. Identify useful connections and areas of relevance within the existing community e. Maintain a structured pipeline of prospective members and guests f. Prepare research and inputs for discussion with the Community Builders and Members Selection Committee This is not about finding the most famous people. It is about helping The Biome find the right people. Final membership and curation decisions will remain with the Community Builders and the Members Selection Committee. 4. Operations, Communication & Content - create the structure and discipline that keeps The Biome running smoothly: a. Maintain member databases, trackers, calendars, action lists and key documentation b. Coordinate follow-ups and ensure important commitments do not get lost c. Prepare meeting notes, briefs, profiles and regular operational updates d. Draft WhatsApp, email and event communication on behalf of the Community Builders e. Coordinate payment, renewal and other member communications f. Coordinate LinkedIn, Instagram and other community storytelling with appropriate approvals You will often work with incomplete information and moving priorities. Your job is to bring order, close loops and keep things moving. What we’re looking for: someone with 3 to 6 years of experience in areas such as: Premium events, Community management, Executive engagement, Hospitality, Client servicing, Executive or leadership programmes, High-trust executive assistance and Operations and coordination You should be:
