Apply & track with Apply EdgeCompliance & AML Officer – Financial Services On behalf of our client, a growing international group expanding its financial services operations in the UAE, we are seeking an experienced Compliance & AML Officer to join its Dubai office.This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional looking to take the next step in their career and play an important role in the development of a new UAE operation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and external regulatory advisers, supporting the development and ongoing management of the company's Compliance and AML/CFT framework.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and implementation of the company's Compliance and AML/CFT framework.Assist with regulatory and compliance matters during the establishment and development of the UAE operation.Develop and maintain compliance policies, AML/CFT procedures, risk assessments and internal controls.Oversee KYC, CDD, EDD, client on-boarding and ongoing monitoring.Monitor transactions and investigate unusual or potentially suspicious activity.Manage sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening requirements.Support suspicious activity escalation and regulatory reporting obligations, where applicable.Maintain and periodically review AML and business-wide risk assessments.Conduct compliance monitoring and periodic reviews of internal controls.Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on relevant changes.Prepare compliance and AML reports for senior management.Provide AML/CFT and compliance training to employees.Liaise with external regulatory advisers, auditors, banks and other professional advisers.Review new products, services, business relationships and marketing activities from a compliance perspective.Support regulatory inspections, information requests and ongoing regulatory obligations.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business or another relevant discipline.Minimum 3 years' relevant Compliance and/or AML experience, preferably within regulated financial services.Good understanding of the UAE financial-services regulatory and AML/CFT environment.Experience with KYC/CDD/EDD, AML/CFT, sanctions, transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting.Experience within brokerage, investment services, fintech, payments, banking, asset management or another regulated financial-services business will be considered a strong advantage.Previous experience as a Compliance Officer, Deputy MLRO, MLRO, Compliance Manager or Senior Compliance/AML Officer will be an advantage.Previous involvement in a UAE regulatory licence application or the establishment of a regulated financial-services operation would be highly desirable.CAMS, ICA, ACAMS or equivalent Compliance/AML qualification will be considered an advantage.Strong written and spoken English.Strong analytical skills, sound judgement and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and communicate confidently with senior management.Candidates currently based in the UAE will be given preference.What We OfferAED 20,000–25,000 gross monthly salary, depending on experience and qualifications.UAE employment visa.Medical insurance.Opportunity to join the UAE operation at an important stage of its development.Direct exposure to senior management.Opportunity to take on broader Compliance Officer / MLRO responsibilities as the business develops.Long-term career development within a growing international group.SalaryAED 20,000–25,000 gross per month
