Our Client, an Aviation Leasing company based in Shannon, is looking for a Compliance professional to join their team.The role will work closely with the VP Compliance and provide support to the Compliance function, while also supporting the Legal team on compliance-related matters and projects. The position will work closely with the wider business across a range of compliance, regulatory and KYC activities.This role will ideally suit someone with a similar background in a compliance role in aviation leasing or a related industry. It would also suit some with experience in a legal department looking to make a transition to an Industry role.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Compliance team with KYC due diligence and prepare KYC plans for customers, UBOs and other counterparties.Complete watchlist, transaction and vendor screenings, including periodic and annual reviews.Conduct transaction and portfolio trade route due diligence on airline customers.Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reporting.Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures.Support staff compliance training and monitor local laws and regulations.Manage group responses to third-party KYC requests.Assist the VP Compliance and Compliance Officer with legal and compliance projects and wider company objectives.

Requirements

Third-level qualification in Legal, Compliance, Business, Finance or a related discipline.Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in compliance, legal or a related area.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.Previous experience within a legal or compliance function, ideally within aviation leasing or a related industry, is advantageous.Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively while also using your own initiative.Strong awareness of regulatory and compliance risk.
