This role assists in identifying, assessing, and mitigating regulatory and compliance risks while supporting regulatory examinations, audits, compliance testing, monitoring activities, and employee training initiatives. The Compliance Analyst works closely with business units, legal counsel, and risk management to help ensure the Company operates in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.What You’ll DoMonitor compliance with applicable state and federal insurance laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance.Track regulatory changes and industry developments impacting life insurance operations.Assist in evaluating new laws and regulations and communicate requirements to affected business areas.Maintain compliance calendars and regulatory reporting schedules.Conduct compliance reviews, testing, and monitoring activities to assess adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.Analyze processes and controls to identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.Document findings, prepare reports, and track remediation efforts.Assist in developing compliance metrics, dashboards, and management reporting.Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and controls.Review business practices for consistency with regulatory requirements and company policies.Monitor compliance with consumer protection, market conduct, and sales practices requirements.Assist with complaint management and trend analysis.Support AML, OFAC, and fraud prevention compliance activities.Coordinate compliance training programs and track employee participation.Prepare compliance reports for management, committees, and regulatory purposes.Assist with risk assessments and compliance program evaluations. What We’re Looking ForJuris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Legal Studies, Insurance, or a related field.2–5 years of compliance, risk management, audit, legal, insurance operations, or regulatory experience.Experience in the insurance industry, particularly life insurance, preferred.Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance frameworks is desirable. Why Join Pacific Guardian LifeWork for a well-established and respected local companyBe part of a collaborative and supportive team environmentOpportunities for professional development and career growthContribute to a company focused on protecting Hawai‘i’s families and businessesWhat We OfferWe offer a comprehensive benefits package to support the health, well-being, and financial wellness of our team members.
