Compliance Director

Role Description The Compliance Director is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and strengthening the organization’s compliance framework across legal, regulatory, and financial areas. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and updating compliance policies and procedures, monitoring adherence to applicable laws and regulations, and conducting risk assessments and internal reviews. The role involves collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to address compliance issues, providing guidance on regulatory changes, and preparing reports and documentation for audits or regulatory inquiries. The Compliance Director will also support staff training on compliance standards and ensure timely resolution of identified gaps or incidents.Qualifications Strong experience in Compliance Management and Legal Compliance, with the ability to design and oversee effective compliance programs.Solid knowledge of Regulatory Compliance, including interpreting and applying relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Demonstrated Analytical Skills to assess risk, evaluate controls, and make data-informed recommendations.Background in Finance sufficient to understand financial controls, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations.Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and prioritize multiple initiatives.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for policy drafting, training, and stakeholder engagement.Previous leadership or director-level experience in compliance, legal, or risk management is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field; advanced certification (e.g., CCEP, CRCM) is a plus.
