This role will support and oversee the compliance function across regulatory compliance, financial crime controls, compliance monitoring, policy governance, stakeholder advisory, reporting, and regulatory/audit readiness.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation and enhancement of the institution’s compliance framework, policies, procedures, and internal controls.Provide compliance advisory to business and operations teams on regulatory requirements, internal policies, and control expectations.Oversee compliance activities across areas such as KYC/CDD/EDD, AML, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, conduct risk, and regulatory compliance where applicable.Lead or support compliance monitoring and testing activities, including sample reviews, issue identification, and remediation tracking.Review complex compliance matters, escalations, exceptions, and higher-risk cases, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution.Support regulatory change management by tracking updates, assessing impact, and coordinating implementation actions.Prepare management reporting/MI on compliance risks, open actions, breaches, monitoring outcomes, and remediation progress.Coordinate with Risk, Internal Audit, Legal, Operations, Product, and Business teams to strengthen the control environment.Support internal/external audits and regulatory reviews by preparing evidence packs, responses, and action trackers.Coach junior team members and contribute to compliance training, awareness, SOPs, checklists, and process improvements.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, Risk, Economics, or a related field.6–10 years experience in compliance, regulatory compliance, AML/financial crime compliance, compliance monitoring, risk, or internal controls.Experience within banking, fintech, payments, insurance, wealth management, or regulated financial services is strongly preferred.Strong understanding of compliance governance, risk-based approach, controls, monitoring, documentation standards, and regulatory expectations.Experience handling escalations, remediation actions, stakeholder advisory, and management reporting.Strong leadership, stakeholder management, writing, and presentation skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.Preferred / Nice to HaveExposure to UAE regulatory requirements and regulated financial services environments.Experience with AML/KYC controls, compliance monitoring, regulatory change, conduct risk, or control testing.Experience with compliance tools, case management systems, screening tools, or GRC platforms.Certifications or progress toward: ICA / CAMS / CFE / CIA / CRCM or similar.Prior experience leading junior team members or managing compliance workstreams is a plus.How to ApplyApply via LinkedIn with your updated CV.
