About Bitexen MENA & Bitexen CustodyBitexen MENA and Bitexen Custody are ADGM-licensed companies operating within the global Bitexen ecosystem.As we continue to expand our regulated digital asset operations in Abu Dhabi, we are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to support the compliance functions of both entities.The Compliance Manager will work across Bitexen MENA and Bitexen Custody, reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and working closely with local management and relevant global teams.About the RoleThe Compliance Manager will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the compliance activities of both Bitexen MENA and Bitexen Custody.The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, direct and substantial experience within the cryptocurrency / digital asset industry, and practical experience working within a regulated environment.The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the ADGM regulatory framework and hands-on experience managing compliance within the operational environment of a cryptocurrency or digital asset business.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee day-to-day compliance activities across Bitexen MENA and Bitexen Custody.Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable ADGM regulatory requirements.Maintain and continuously improve the AML/CFT and broader compliance framework for both entities.Oversee KYC, KYB, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring and compliance investigation processes.Identify, assess and manage regulatory, AML/CFT and financial crime risks.Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures and controls.Conduct compliance reviews and risk assessments across business activities.Monitor regulatory developments and translate new requirements into practical compliance controls.Prepare compliance reports, management information and regulatory submissions where required.Support regulatory examinations, audits, inspections and information requests.Act as a key point of contact with regulators, auditors and external compliance advisers.Manage relationships with external compliance partners and compliance technology providers.Promote a strong compliance culture across both entities.Continuously improve compliance processes and controls as the business and regulatory environment evolve.Requirements7+ years of professional compliance experience, preferably within cryptocurrency, digital assets, fintech or regulated financial services.Direct cryptocurrency / digital asset industry experience is essential and non-negotiable.Previous experience working within an ADGM-regulated institution and strong knowledge of the ADGM regulatory framework.Strong and practical experience in AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring and financial crime risk management.Hands-on experience within the actual operational environment of a cryptocurrency / digital asset business.Experience implementing and managing compliance policies, procedures and control frameworks within a regulated business.Experience working directly with regulators, auditors, external advisers or regulatory compliance partners.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to digital asset businesses.Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and international environment.Willingness to work fully on-site in Abu Dhabi.DesirablePrevious compliance experience at a crypto exchange or digital asset platform.Experience with ADGM licensing and regulatory engagement processes.Experience with blockchain analytics, KYC and transaction monitoring platforms.Experience across additional MENA regulatory jurisdictions.CAMS or equivalent professional compliance certification.Degree in Law, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management or a related field.What We ValueThe ideal candidate combines strong ADGM regulatory experience with substantial, hands-on cryptocurrency industry experience.Candidates whose experience is limited to traditional banking, general financial services, consulting or advisory roles, without direct cryptocurrency / digital asset industry experience, will not be considered.
