ROLE PURPOSEResponsible for overseeing the Compliance and AML framework, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and the company’s governance standards. Act as key point of contact with regulators, overseeing AMLA requirements, regulatory reporting and SEPBLAC obligations. Provide Compliance and AML reporting and advice to senior management and the Board. Oversee regulatory audits, risk assessments, gap analyses, and remediation plans.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, manage and advise on compliance matters, including AML/CTF, Sanctions, regulatory risk, GDPR and other applicable regulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Act as main point of contact with regulators on compliance and AML matters, coordinating regulatory requests, communications and reporting, including SEPBLAC reporting obligations.Monitor and implement new AML regulatory requirements, ensuring timely adaptation of policies, processes and controls.Develop and maintain compliance risk maps, risk assessments and regulatory gap analyses, identifying key risks, control gaps and remediation actions.Implement, monitor and improve compliance policies, systems and controls, including KYC/KYB, AML/CTF, transaction monitoring and due diligence processes.Manage the obtention and maintenance of Criminal Compliance certifications, and coordinate external expert audits, ensuring timely remediation of any findings.Prepare compliance and risk reporting for senior management and contribute to internal compliance projects, including regulatory readiness for a potential EDE license, Compliance training, Code of Ethics and Whistleblowing.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSKnowledge of AML/CTF, Sanctions, Compliance and regulatory risk, with an understanding of the AMLA and payments/EMI regulatory framework.Understanding of payments, fintech and banking environments, including digital products and technology.Experience in risk assessments, risk mapping, gap analysis, regulatory reporting and Compliance governance.Experience managing regulatory and internal projects, from assessment to implementation.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance for the business.Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across different areas and levels of the organization.Comfortable acting as a representative of the Compliance function, including interaction with regulators, external advisors and participation in industry events and conferences.Pragmatic and business-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different teams.Ability to promote a Compliance culture and support the business in identifying and managing regulatory risks.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEEducationDegree in Law.
