ICBC Amsterdam Branch was established in 2011 and plays an important role in serving European clients and fostering economic cooperation between China and Europe. The EU is regarded as a key foothold in ICBC’s global network. ICBC Amsterdam Branch is looking for a talented experienced compliance officer to join the Legal and Compliance Department starting preferably from 1 September 2026. As a compliance officer you will be responsible/in charge of various compliance tasks as indicated below. Tasks and ResponsibilitiesPerforming periodic compliance monitoring controls regarding AML, Sanctions, PSD 2, Outsourcing, Governance, FATCA, CRS, DAC 6, CESOP, DORA etc.;Preparing risk assessments (including SIRA);Updating of compliance procedures;Providing training regarding compliance subjects;Performing or assisting compliance reporting to HQ, HO, DNB;Acting as back up for KYC review related to client onboarding or periodic review;Acting as back up for sanction screening;Acting as back up transaction monitoring; Profile and Personal SkillsBachelor or university degree in Law;Fluent in English and preferably Dutch;Fluent Chinese (Mandarin) would be a valued extra;2-years of experience in a similar role or audit role, ideally within an (international) bank or audit firm;Good communication skills;Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);Customer and result orientation, self-driven, team spirit and proactive;Sense of discretion, confidentiality, integrity and transparency;Cross culture awareness. Other BenefitsEvery attitude and behaviour the Bank conveys ensures that a culture based on respect and civility is maintained on a day-to-day basis.
