About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to support and strengthen compliance, governance, and risk management practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing assistance applications, beneficiary files, and related processes to ensure compliance with approved policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The role plays a key part in promoting transparency, integrity, accountability, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesReview assistance applications and beneficiary records to ensure compliance with approved policies, procedures, and eligibility criteria.Verify the accuracy and completeness of beneficiary information, supporting documents, and related records.Identify cases of duplication, fraud, misrepresentation, concealment of information, or other irregularities that may affect assistance decisions.Assess compliance with approved policies and procedures throughout the service delivery process.Monitor and report compliance violations, control weaknesses, and non-compliance cases, and recommend corrective actions.Prepare periodic compliance reports covering findings, violations, corrective measures, and implementation status.Contribute to enhancing internal controls, governance practices, and operational efficiency.Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, independence, and objectivity.QualificationsBachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Auditing/Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)/Accounting Or a related disciplineRequired ExperienceMinimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in compliance and institutional compliance functions.Skills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of compliance, governance, and risk management principles.Excellent analytical and investigative skills.Ability to identify control gaps, compliance violations, and operational risks.Strong report writing and documentation skills.Ability to review cases, analyze findings, and provide evidence-based recommendations.High standards of integrity, independence, and professional objectivity.Effective communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and information management systems.Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.Language RequirementsExcellent command of both Arabic and English, written and spoken.Preferred QualificationsCandidates with any of the following will be given additional consideration:Knowledge of regulations and legislation governing charitable and social work.Legal background or experience interpreting laws, regulations, and governance requirements.Experience in risk management, fraud prevention, and investigations.Previous experience within charitable, non-profit, social, or regulatory organizations.Professional certifications such as: CCEP / CIA / CFE Or equivalent certifications.
