Apply & track with Apply EdgeCompliance Officer About The Role The Compliance Officer will design, implement, and monitor the Group's compliance program, with particular emphasis on Anti-Money Laundering / Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) obligations applicable to Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs), Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) / Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) off-plan sales regulations, and general corporate governance standards across the Ohana Group's constituent entities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain the Group's AML/CFT compliance framework, including enterprise-wide risk assessments, customer due diligence (CDD/KYC) procedures, and suspicious transaction reporting via the goAML platform, in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2018 (as amended) and applicable Ministry of Economy (MoET) / Executive Office for Control and Non-Proliferation (EOCN) DNFBP guidanceMonitor and ensure ongoing compliance with ADREC and DMT requirements governing off-plan development sales and escrow account managementConduct periodic compliance audits across Ohana Group entities — including Ohana Global Holding Limited, NOVA International General Contracting LLC – S.P.C., AISO Consultants Engineering LLC – S.P.C., and Ecovera Facilities Management LLC – S.P.C. — and report findings and remediation plans to senior leadershipMaintain and update internal compliance policies, including the Group's Contract Approval Framework and associated governance documentationSupport KYC and due diligence processes for prospective counterparties, joint venture partners, and strategic partnerships, including in emerging areas such as real estate tokenisation and structured financing arrangementsDesign and deliver compliance training programs to relevant personnel across the GroupIdentify, flag, and escalate red-flag indicators, including suspected fraud, advance-fee schemes, and business email compromise (BEC) attemptsMaintain compliance registers and supporting documentation in accordance with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)QualificationsMinimum five (5) years of compliance experience in the UAE, ideally within the real estate, construction, or financial services sectorsStrong working knowledge of UAE AML/CFT legislation, DNFBP obligations, and ADREC/DMT regulatory frameworksFamiliarity with the UAE Commercial Companies Law and the Civil Transactions Law as they relate to corporate governance mattersFluency in English requiredHigh attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently across multiple group entities
