This is a truly exciting time to join the business as we undertake our new growth and development plans.Purpose of the RoleThe Compliance Officer is responsible for supporting the effective operation of the Partnerships compliance and governance framework. The role acts as a subject matter resource for compliance matters and provides practical guidance to managers and employees across the business.The position will lead on a range of operational compliance activities, undertake risk-based reviews and audits, and help ensure that the Partnerships regulatory obligations are effectively managed. While not responsible for overall departmental ownership, the Compliance Officer is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgement. Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance Monitoring and AdvisoryDeliver compliance monitoring activities across the business.Assess compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigating controls.Provide guidance to managers on regulatory and compliance obligations.Support investigations into compliance incidents and breaches.Monitor regulatory developments and communicate business impacts.Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures. Contract Review and Risk AssessmentConduct detailed reviews of client appointments, consultancy agreements, framework agreements and supplier contracts.Identify contractual, operational and regulatory risks.Review limitations of liability, indemnities, insurance provisions and compliance clauses.Provide recommendations and risk summaries to management.Maintain contractual risk registers and reporting mechanisms.ISO Management SystemsCoordinate ISO management systems across the business.Plan, undertake and report on internal audits.Support management review processes.Track corrective actions and verify implementation.Liaise with certification bodies and external auditors.Promote continual improvement initiatives. Health and Safety Compliance- Monitor compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.- Review risk assessments and safe systems of work.- Analyse incidents and identify trends.- Support operational managers in implementing corrective actions.- Assist with internal audits and inspections.- Promote positive health and safety culture initiatives. AML ComplianceOversee day-to-day AML processes.Review higher-risk client onboarding matters.Undertake enhanced due diligence activities.Monitor adherence to AML procedures.Support AML training delivery.Escalate suspicious activity concerns to the Head of Compliance and MLRO. Drone Compliance ManagementManage operational compliance relating to drone activities.Ensure compliance with CAA requirements and company procedures.Monitor training, certifications and insurance requirements.Conduct periodic compliance reviews of drone operations. Training and Stakeholder EngagementDeliver compliance training and awareness sessions.Develop guidance notes and compliance communications.Build effective working relationships across all departments.Act as a trusted point of contact for compliance-related queries. Essential Experience and CompetenciesExperience within a professional services, consultancy, surveying, property or similar business employing approximately 100–500 staff.Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Experience undertaking audits, compliance reviews or risk assessments.Ability to influence and challenge constructively.Strong organisational and project management skills.Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.We are firm believers that a diverse team enhances our company and drives its success.
