Compliance Officer

Compliance Officer | FrankfurtOur client is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to take ownership of its compliance function at a critical stage of development. The organisation forms part of an internationally active technology group in the materials and specialty manufacturing space, serving the telecommunications, semiconductor and optics industries. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strategic development of the compliance framework with day-to-day advisory work.The role:Own the compliance management system: adapting it locally, embedding group policy, and driving its continuous evolution.Build risk-based monitoring and reporting structures, defining KPIs that give real visibility into compliance performance.Lead investigations, audits and external reviews, coordinating input across departments as needed.Advise on due diligence and risk topics: third-party relationships, gifts and hospitality, sponsoring, donations, and supply chain risk.Act as the go-to advisor for senior leadership on compliance questions.Grow the compliance function: developing its network, mentoring the team, and shaping training and communication.Champion a culture where raising concerns is normal, reinforcing integrity and ethical conduct.What you'll need:Seven-plus years in a hands-on legal or compliance role, ideally within a multinational organisation.A degree in law, business law, economics, compliance, or a related discipline.Hands-on experience building or evolving compliance management systems, with working knowledge of anti-corruption, fraud, conflict-of-interest, AML and supply chain risk.A demonstrated ability to run investigations, audits and third-party due diligence end to end.Comfortable operating across cultures and geographies.Strong presence and communication skills with senior stakeholders, paired with sound judgement and discretion.A proactive, self-directed working style with genuine integrity and assertiveness.Business-fluent German and English.How to apply:Interested?
