Compliance Officer / Deputy MLRO – Crypto CustodianDubai | UAEWe are working with a leading institutional digital asset custodian that is expanding its compliance function in the UAE.They are looking for a Compliance Officer / Deputy MLRO to play a key role in maintaining and strengthening the firm's regulatory compliance framework, with a particular focus on digital asset custody, AML/CFT and regulatory requirements.The RoleThis is a hands-on role for someone who understands both financial services regulation and the operational realities of digital assets.You will work closely with senior management, Compliance, Risk and Operations teams to ensure the business operates within its regulatory obligations and maintains a robust control environment.Key responsibilities will include:Supporting the MLRO and Head of Compliance in overseeing the firm's AML/CFT and regulatory compliance framework.Providing compliance oversight across digital asset custody, wallet operations, client onboarding and asset movements.Conducting and reviewing KYC/CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and suspicious activity assessments.Supporting regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring, risk assessments and regulatory submissions.Advising the business on VARA/FSRA requirements and evolving digital asset regulation.Reviewing policies, procedures and controls to ensure they remain appropriate for a regulated crypto custody environment.Working closely with Operations and Technology teams around custody, safeguarding, wallet and blockchain-related risks.Acting as Deputy MLRO and providing cover for the MLRO when required.What We're Looking For5+ years' experience in Compliance / AML within financial services, fintech, digital assets or a related regulated environment.Experience working with crypto / virtual assets, ideally within a regulated exchange, custodian, institutional digital asset business or bank.Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC/CDD/EDD, sanctions and transaction monitoring.Experience with VARA, FSRA, FCA or another credible financial services regulator.Understanding of digital asset custody, wallet infrastructure, blockchain transactions and safeguarding controls.Experience supporting or deputising for an MLRO is highly desirable.Strong ability to work with senior stakeholders and provide practical, commercially minded compliance advice.Relevant compliance/AML qualifications such as ICA, ACAMS or equivalent would be advantageous.Why This Role?This is an opportunity to join an established institutional digital asset business at an important stage of its UAE growth.You will have exposure to senior leadership, institutional clients, digital asset custody infrastructure and the evolving UAE regulatory landscape, with the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping the firm's compliance framework.Dubai-based | Competitive package | Institutional digital assets
