Composite Assembly Technician

Responsible for the assembly, fitting, bonding, drilling, fastening, and integration of composite structures and components for UAVs and drones, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, manufacturing instructions, and aerospace quality standards.Key Responsibilities- Assemble carbon-fiber composite UAV structures, including fuselage sections, wings, tail structures, control surfaces, fairings, and access panels.- Perform precision fitting, drilling, reaming, countersinking, trimming, and fastening of composite components.- Prepare surfaces and perform structural adhesive bonding in accordance with approved processes.- Install inserts, bushings, brackets, fasteners, nut plates, and other aerospace hardware.- Use assembly jigs, fixtures, templates, and precision hand/power tools.- Support installation and integration of landing gear, fuel tank supports, propulsion mounting structures, control surfaces, and mechanical components.- Verify alignment, dimensions, gaps, clearances, and assembly tolerances.- Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and technical specifications.- Perform basic dimensional and visual inspections using measuring tools and gauges.- Identify and report composite defects, assembly discrepancies, or non-conformities.- Complete production documentation and maintain component/material traceability.- Follow FOD prevention, HSE, PPE, tool-control, and 5S requirements.- Protect composite structures from impact, contamination, scratches, and handling damage.Qualifications & Experience- Technical Diploma/Certificate in Aerospace, Mechanical, Composite Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.- 3–5 years of relevant experience in composite or aerospace structural assembly.- Hands-on experience with carbon-fiber (CFRP) structures is highly preferred.- Experience in UAV, drone, aircraft, or advanced composite manufacturing is an advantage.- Good knowledge of structural bonding, composite drilling, fastening, torque-controlled assembly, and dimensional inspection.- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand manufacturing tolerances.Key Competencies- Strong manual and mechanical skills.- High attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.- Good understanding of composite-material handling.- Quality-focused and safety-conscious approach.- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.- Strong discipline in documentation, traceability, and FOD control.
