Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafter

Ikon Engineers Canada Ltd. has an opportunity for a CAD Drafter to join our team. This is a full-time, hybrid position that will support our specialist engineering division and will report to the Associate (P.Eng) and Principal Engineers (P.Eng.).WHO WE’RE LOOKING FORWe are looking for a detail-oriented CAD Drafter who wants to contribute to a small, collaborative team. This individual will interact personably with engineers and peers and communicate clearly to interpret design concepts and incorporate feedback. They will prioritize accuracy and quality in their drawings and be willing to learn and grow as a drafting professional. Ikon requires someone with a minimum of 3 years of structural drafting experience.DETAILS:Compensation: $60,320 - $93,600 salary range. Your compensation will be determined by your background and level of experience and will be aligned with our internal pay structure in our commitment to equitable compensation.

Location: Vancouver or Sea to Sky, BC.

Hybrid options available. RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD. The ability to generate structural analysis models within Revit shall be considered an asset.Prepare structural plans, sections, details and construction documents that meet industry standards and project requirements.Work with engineers to interpret design concepts and incorporate feedback into revised drawings.Review and verify drawings for accuracy, consistency and compliance with safety and building codes.Liaison with architects and building designers to coordinate drawing sets between structural and architectural disciplines.Maintain organized digital files of all drawings and revisions for easy access and version control.Other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:Diploma or Certificate in engineering design and drafting technology from an accredited College or University or equivalent or related training3 years of direct drafting experience in the structural designProficiency in Revit and AutoCADExperience producing 2D and 3D engineering drawingsStrong understanding of drafting standards, schematics creation and technical documentationAbility to interpret engineering markups accurately and translate them into detailed drawingsExcellent attention to detail and strong organizational skillsEffective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teamsABOUT IKON ENGINEERS CANADA LTD.Ikon Engineers Canada Ltd. is a consulting engineering firm built by like-minded professionals who value both technical excellence and the lifestyle that Whistler offers.
