This position is responsible for creating detailed CAD drawings and 3D models for custom spiral and radiused staircases, based on project specifications, measurements, and design requirements. The drafter collaborates with engineers, project managers, and fabrication staff to translate concepts and architectural plans into accurate technical drawings and shop drawings. Daily activities include updating and revising drawings, maintaining drawing standards and file organization, performing basic design checks, and preparing documentation for production and installation. The role also involves reviewing field information, ensuring drawings meet safety and building code requirements, and supporting continuous improvement of drafting processes.Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Technical Drawing and Drawing for precise representation of custom staircase components and assemblies.Candidates should possess skills in Engineering Drawings to create accurate, production-ready plans and detailed fabrication documents.Candidates should possess skills in Architectural Drawings to interpret and coordinate with building plans, elevations, and sections.Candidates should possess skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to develop 2D and 3D models, using industry-standard CAD software.Relevant qualifications include experience in metal or wood fabrication environments, familiarity with building codes, and strong spatial and mechanical aptitude.Additional beneficial qualifications include a technical degree or certificate in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and meet project deadlines.
