Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole OverviewOpenCode Solutions is looking for a hands-on Computer Vision & Linux Systems Engineer who can develop AI/computer vision solutions and manage the Linux infrastructure required to deploy and operate them.The engineer should be capable of taking a computer vision use case from initial feasibility assessment through POC development, model training, testing, optimization, and deployment.Key RequirementsComputer Vision & AIStrong Python experience.Practical experience with PyTorch, YOLO, OpenCV, and FFmpeg.Experience with object detection, classification, tracking, segmentation, or pose estimation.Ability to build and test computer vision POCs using CCTV or recorded video.Experience preparing, cleaning, merging, and reviewing datasets.Familiarity with CVAT, FiftyOne, COCO, and YOLO annotation formats.Ability to train, evaluate, fine-tune, and troubleshoot custom computer vision models.Experience converting and optimizing models using ONNX, FP16, and INT8.Experience deploying AI models on GPUs, edge devices, or NPUs is highly preferred.Web Scraping & Data CollectionExperience building Python-based web scraping and data collection tools.Familiarity with tools such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Playwright, or Scrapy.Ability to collect and organize images, videos, metadata, and other public data for dataset development.Experience handling pagination, dynamic websites, APIs, file downloads, and automated data-processing pipelines.Ability to clean, deduplicate, and validate collected data.Linux AdministrationStrong practical Linux administration experience, including:Linux installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.SSH and remote system management.Networking fundamentals including IP addressing, routing, DNS, ports, and connectivity troubleshooting.Storage, filesystems, permissions, users, and services.Package and dependency management.Docker and container management.GPU drivers, CUDA, and AI runtime troubleshooting.System performance and resource monitoring.Troubleshooting applications and services running on Linux servers or edge devices.Deployment & InfrastructureExperience working with CCTV cameras, RTSP streams, NVRs, or similar video systems.Ability to deploy and troubleshoot AI applications on Linux edge devices.Experience with Git and version control.Basic understanding of APIs and application integration.Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, MinIO, ClearML, or similar platforms is advantageous.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should:Be highly hands-on and capable of working independently.Be comfortable troubleshooting across AI models, Python, Linux, networking, and hardware.Be able to turn loosely defined customer requirements into practical technical solutions.Be capable of independently sourcing and preparing data when an existing dataset is unavailable.Be comfortable researching and experimenting with unfamiliar technologies.Communicate technical limitations, requirements, and expected performance clearly.Experience2–5+ years of relevant experience in Computer Vision, AI Engineering, Linux Systems Administration, or related technical roles.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Strong practical experience and project portfolio may substitute for formal experience requirements.
