Computer Vision Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Perception & Vision Systems Engineer to join the team.You will work on advanced autonomous systems, owning end-to-end perception technology that enables the platform to see, identify and track objects in real time.This is a hands-on role focused on high-performance computer vision and real-time imaging, working across the full vision pipeline from camera acquisition through to detection and tracking.The roleDevelop and optimise real-time computer vision pipelines for high-resolution, high-FPS camera dataWork with NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, OpenCV and TensorRTBuild and optimise GStreamer video pipelinesDevelop object detection and tracking algorithmsIntegrate MIPI, IP and thermal imaging sensorsWork with camera interfaces, calibration and 3D coordinate transformationsIntegrate perception systems with ROS2Test and validate perception systems in real-world and simulated environmentsWork closely with software, electronics and wider autonomous systems teamsWhat we're looking forStrong professional experience in Computer Vision / PerceptionStrong C++ and Python skillsExperience developing real-time vision systemsHands-on experience with NVIDIA Jetson and CUDAStrong OpenCV experienceExperience with GStreamer and high-bandwidth video processingUnderstanding of 3D geometry, camera calibration and sensor integrationExperience with embedded Linux / edge computingExperience with object detection, tracking and ML-based vision systemsNice to haveExperience with thermal/infrared imaging, multispectral sensing, UAVs, autonomous vehicles, defence, ROS2, MIPI/V4L2, RTSP/UDP or synthetic data/simulation would be advantageous.This is an opportunity to work on highly challenging autonomous systems where real-time perception, low latency and reliable performance are critical.Location: BristolWorking: Hybrid working#Defence #UAV #Perceptionsystems #Computervision #Autonomoussystems
