Senior Perception Engineer (Edge AI & Robotics)Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid: 4 Days On-Site)Base Compensation: $200,000 to $270,000 USD + Early Stage EquityFounded in 2024 by veteran entrepreneurs and roboticists from Tesla, Zipline, Apple, and Google, the company recently closed an $18M Seed round backed by premier venture firms (A*, 8VC, Atomic) and prominent tech founders.With live beta hardware already deployed in real homes, they are expanding their 25-person team and looking for a Senior Perception Engineer to take complete technical ownership of their edge computer vision pipeline.What You Will DoOwn the Perception Stack: Lead the architectural design and deployment of multi-camera perception algorithms, object detection, spatial association, and multi-object tracking.Edge Optimization: Deploy and optimize deep learning vision models on resource-constrained NVIDIA hardware using TensorRT, DeepStream, and JetPack.Media Pipeline Architecture: Build high-throughput, real-time video ingestion systems utilizing GStreamer and FFmpeg.Ship Physical Systems: Collaborate with hardware teams to deploy production code directly onto autonomous security hardware operating in real-world home environments.What We Are Looking ForCore Technical Stack: Advanced production proficiency in C++ and Python.NVIDIA Edge Platforms: Direct hands-on experience with DeepStream, JetPack, and TensorRT on NVIDIA Jetson or Thor hardware.Video & Media Pipelines: Proven experience building real-time video processing pipelines with GStreamer or FFmpeg.Applied Machine Learning: Track record training and deploying computer vision models (PyTorch) for tracking, multi-camera association, or video analytics.Experience Level: 3 to 7+ years of experience in perception engineering, computer vision, or machine learning within high-velocity startups or safety-critical domains (robotics, autonomous vehicles, aerospace).Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Why Join?Outsized Technical Impact: You will set the technical direction for the perception team on a tight-knit 25-person team where every engineer's work directly impacts the product.Real World Hardware Deployment: This is not a research lab; you will ship real models onto real hardware deployed in live environments.Top Tier Backing & Leadership: Work alongside serial founders and alumni from top-tier robotics and AI teams with $18M in early runway.Competitive Package: $200k to $270k base salary + substantial early-stage equity.
