This position will manage the firm’s conflicts and new business intake process while also supporting the Time & Billing team, offering a salary of $70,000–$78,000 plus bonus. The role is ideal for someone who can work effectively under tight deadlines, exercise sound judgment, and recognize potential conflicts that require further review. Great work/life balance – 35 hour work week and hybrid schedule (3 days on-site). This position also includes a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, generous PTO, and a 401(k) plan.Responsibilities of the Conflicts Coordinator:Manage the firm’s new business intake, matter opening, and conflicts workflow, including conducting conflict searches, analyzing results, and partnering with General Counsel and attorneys to investigate and resolve potential conflicts.Review and monitor waivers, engagement letters, and intake documentation while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the firm’s conflicts database and new matter intake system.Conduct independent research, respond to conflicts-related requests, troubleshoot workflow issues, and coordinate with outside vendors when needed.Provide Time & Billing support by processing prebill edits and transfers, assisting with monthly prebill distribution, responding to billing inquiries, preparing and finalizing invoices, and supporting electronic billing.Qualifications of the Conflicts Coordinator:3+ years of conflicts experience within a law firm is required.Prior law firm time and billing experience is preferred.Experience with iManage Conflicts and Aderant is preferred.Strong understanding of law firm conflicts procedures and the ability to recognize situations that may present a potential conflict.Exceptional attention to detail with strong proofreading and data-entry skills.Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment and determine when an issue requires additional research or escalation.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet tight deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and service-oriented approach.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, firm leadership, and internal teams.Strong initiative, work ethic, and problem-solving abilities.High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information.P - 2
