Conservation Officer

Role DescriptionResponsible for supporting conservation programmes, environmental management, biodiversity protection, and field activities to ensure effective and sustainable conservation practices.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct field inspections, ecological surveys, and environmental monitoring.Support conservation, habitat restoration, and biodiversity protection projects.Collect and maintain environmental and ecological data and prepare reports.Identify environmental risks and support appropriate corrective actions.Coordinate with internal teams, government agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.Ensure activities comply with relevant environmental and conservation regulations.Support environmental education and community awareness programmes.QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Conservation, Forestry, or a related field.Experience in conservation, environmental management, or ecological fieldwork is an advantage.Good knowledge of biodiversity, environmental protection, and conservation practices.Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.Able to work independently and outdoors under various field conditions.Knowledge of GIS or environmental monitoring tools is an advantage.Passionate, responsible, detail-oriented, and committed to environmental conservation.
