JOB PURPOSETo supervise and monitor construction activities on site, with a strong focus on roads and infrastructure works, ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and the approved project schedule. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise and monitor daily construction activities related to roads and infrastructure works.Monitor the execution of road works, including earthworks, grading, subgrade, sub-base, base course, asphalt works, curbs, sidewalks, and associated civil works.Supervise infrastructure works, including stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation networks, utilities, and underground services.Review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical specifications related to assigned works.Ensure that construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.Coordinate with contractors, consultants, utility teams, and other disciplines to ensure proper integration and avoid conflicts between roads, infrastructure, and other construction activities.Monitor contractors’ progress against the approved schedule and report delays, deficiencies, and potential risks to the Construction Manager.Review and follow up on RFIs, inspection requests, NCRs, and other site technical matters related to assigned works.Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with required quality standards.Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure that works comply with project quality and safety requirements.Identify site issues and technical constraints and coordinate with the relevant parties to ensure timely resolution.Monitor completed works and support the verification of quantities and contractors’ progress submissions.Review as-built drawings and ensure that completed roads and infrastructure works are properly documented.Participate in site coordination, progress, and technical meetings as required.Provide regular progress updates and reports to the Construction Manager / Package Manager.Support testing, commissioning, inspections, and handover activities related to infrastructure works.Ensure proper coordination of underground utilities prior to road construction and finishing works to minimize rework and interface issues.Ensure compliance with applicable project specifications, construction standards, safety requirements, and approved procedures. QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSMinimum 8 years of relevant construction experience.Strong practical experience in roads and infrastructure works is required.Proven experience in road construction, utilities, drainage networks, and underground infrastructure works.Experience in large-scale residential, mixed-use, or infrastructure development projects is preferred.Previous experience working with a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) is preferred. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.Good knowledge of construction standards, specifications, QA/QC and HSE requirements.Good command of English, both written and spoken. REQUIRED SKILLSStrong technical knowledge of roads and infrastructure construction.Strong site supervision and construction monitoring skills.Ability to read and review construction drawings and technical specifications.Good knowledge of road construction sequences and underground utility works.Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.Ability to identify and resolve site interface issues.Good communication and reporting skills.High attention to quality and details.Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.Good time management and ability to work effectively in a site environment.
