Role Description The Director role at Reiseliv24.no is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Director will oversee the overall operations of the news outlet, including editorial planning, content strategy, and coordination between newsroom and business functions. This role involves supervising editorial teams, setting coverage priorities, and ensuring high-quality, timely reporting on the Norwegian travel and tourism industry. The Director will manage budgets, resources, and partnerships, while driving audience growth and engagement across digital channels. Daily responsibilities include monitoring industry trends, making data-informed decisions, representing the outlet in external forums, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive work culture.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in newsroom, media, or content leadership, including responsibility for editorial strategy and team management.Strong background in digital publishing or online news, with familiarity in audience development, analytics, and content performance measurement.Proven ability to manage budgets, allocate resources, and oversee operational processes in a media or related organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Norwegian or willingness to learn is an advantage.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including contributors, partners, and industry representatives.Experience working with or interest in the travel, tourism, or hospitality sectors, particularly within the Norwegian or Nordic market, is beneficial.Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on ethical journalism and independent reporting.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, Business Administration, or a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
