Construction Manager - MEP

About the RoleSEE Engineering is seeking an experienced Construction Manager – MEP to oversee the construction phase of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across our projects. The role is responsible for the successful execution of MEP construction activities, including coordination, scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance, to meet project objectives and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement construction plans for MEP systems in alignment with overall project schedules.Oversee the day-to-day execution of MEP construction activities on-site.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with the overall construction project.Lead and manage the MEP construction team, providing guidance and support.Implement and enforce quality assurance measures during MEP construction.Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and standards.Work closely with the project management team to monitor and control MEP construction costs.Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Develop and manage construction schedules for MEP systems.Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and practices on the construction site.Required Skills and AbilitiesSolid understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.Strong project management skills with a focus on construction execution.Leadership abilities to manage and motivate a construction team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving skills to address construction challenges.Sound knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering.Minimum 10 years of proven experience managing MEP construction projects.Relevant certifications in construction management are an advantage.Work EnvironmentThis role is primarily site-based, overseeing MEP activities on active construction projects. It involves close collaboration with diverse teams, including contractors, engineers, and project managers.
