Construction Project Engineer

Job OverviewWe are seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join the Venue Technical Services team supporting the delivery of a major international football tournament in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.This role is focused on project engineering, technical coordination, and venue infrastructure readiness rather than hands-on construction management. The successful candidate will utilize their construction and project engineering expertise to coordinate infrastructure readiness across multiple competition venues, working closely with consultants, contractors, stadium operators, and cross-functional operational teams.The Construction Project Engineer will monitor project milestones, coordinate technical deliverables, support venue inspections, track action plans, identify project risks, and ensure infrastructure works are completed in alignment with tournament operational requirements and delivery timelines.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in construction, infrastructure, or major capital projects who are looking to contribute to the successful delivery of one of the world's largest international sporting events.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate technical services and infrastructure readiness activities across assigned tournament venues.Work closely with consultants, contractors, stadium operators, and internal Functional Areas to ensure infrastructure works support tournament operational requirements.Monitor construction progress, venue readiness milestones, and infrastructure deliverables against agreed project schedules.Coordinate technical meetings, site inspections, venue walkthroughs, and readiness assessments.Track action plans, project risks, dependencies, and outstanding issues, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.Review engineering documentation, technical reports, construction updates, and project deliverables for accuracy and completeness.Support the coordination of permanent infrastructure upgrades, remedial works, and venue improvement projects where required.Liaise with contractors and project stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with approved specifications and quality standards.Prepare project reports, readiness dashboards, and progress updates for leadership.Support venue testing, commissioning activities, and operational readiness exercises leading up to tournament delivery.Coordinate infrastructure interfaces with venue operations, technology, broadcast, security, transport, and other tournament functional areas.Escalate technical issues, project risks, and schedule delays while supporting mitigation and recovery plans.Support venue handover, snagging, close-out documentation, and final readiness inspections.
