Location: Dubai, UAESalary: AED 8,000–10,000 per monthJoining: Immediate or within 30 days preferredURVA Consulting is hiring a Construction Safety Officer for a construction group expanding its operations in the UAE.

We are seeking someone with hands-on safety experience on UAE building construction sites, ideally working directly for a main contractor.You will work closely with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and management to identify risks early and ensure that work is carried out safely.Key responsibilitiesConduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.Review risk assessments and method statements with the project team before high-risk work begins.Monitor safety controls for work at height, lifting operations, excavation, scaffolding, temporary works, equipment, and electrical activities.Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for workers and subcontractors.Check compliance with site safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, PPE rules, and applicable Dubai construction safety requirements.Investigate incidents and near misses, document findings, and follow through on corrective actions.Maintain inspection records, safety reports, and emergency response arrangements.Coordinate effectively with the Dubai project team and India-based management.RequirementsProven safety officer experience on building construction projects in the UAE.Experience working for a main building contractor and managing safety across multiple subcontractor teams is strongly preferred.A recognised occupational health and safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH International General Certificate or an equivalent qualification.Practical knowledge of construction risk assessments, method statements, site inspections, incident reporting, and emergency procedures.Familiarity with applicable Dubai construction safety requirements.Clear English communication skills and the confidence to intervene when work is unsafe.
