Construction Site Manager

Reports to: Delivery Lead (قائد التسليم); coordinates daily with the Projects Supervisor (مشرف المشاريع)Location: Riyadh — assigned across active Portal sites (renovations and new buildouts of hotel apartments, chalets, and farm-resort units)Type: Full-time, employed (not contract)PurposePortal builds and operates its own properties — one unbroken thread from idea to guest. The Site Manager owns what happens on the ground so that thread stays intact: turning the weekly plan into finished, guest-ready work at Portal's quality standard, on schedule, without the founder needing to be in the room.Core ResponsibilitiesOwn daily execution on the assigned site(s): sequence the day's work, direct labor and subcontractors, and keep the site moving against the committed weekly plan.Work inside Portal's Last Planner System — commit to weekly work plans, report progress and blockers daily in the morning meeting, and flag anything needing a decision or a different person to clear it (so it can be logged as a constraint rather than sitting stalled).Guard quality as the brand. Inspect work against Portal's finish standards before it's called done; reject and rework what doesn't meet the bar rather than passing it downstream.Manage on-site safety, housekeeping, and material readiness so crews aren't idle waiting on constraints.Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers on site — verify quantities, workmanship, and that what was ordered is what arrived.Use the empowerment budget (up to SAR 500 per incident, SAR 1,000/month) to remove small blockers on the spot, reporting after the fact.Communicate through the daily morning meeting and WhatsApp — no spreadsheet or file management required of this role.Ways of WorkingDaily morning meeting to commit and report; WhatsApp for live coordination during the day.Saturday is the planning and retrospective anchor — you bring the ground truth into next week's plan.You live the culture: ownership (الملكية), candor and safety (الصراحة والأمان), craftsmanship (الإتقان), and continuous improvement (التحسين المستمر).RequirementsProven experience running fit-out, renovation, or small-to-mid construction sites — ideally hospitality, residential, or F&B finishing.Strong command of finishing trades and the judgment to tell "good enough" from Portal-grade.Ability to direct crews and subcontractors and hold a schedule without babysitting from above.Fluent Arabic (working language on site); functional English useful.Comfortable working in a structured weekly rhythm and speaking up early when something's off.
