Company Description UCSI Hospital is a modern, multidisciplinary facility designed to deliver world-class care close to home across specialties such as cardiology, cardio-thoracic surgery, breast and endocrine surgery, internal medicine, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics, and more. Located on a 40-acre site in Bandar Springhill, Negeri Sembilan, the hospital began operations in 2020 as a 130-bed institution. It is planned to expand organically to a maximum capacity of 1,000 beds, supporting long-term growth and specialist services. The hospital’s breadth of clinical disciplines and ongoing expansion provide cardiology professionals with opportunities to shape service development, participate in complex case management, and contribute to high-quality patient care.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Consultant Cardiologist role based at UCSI Hospital in Port Dickson. The Consultant Cardiologist will provide comprehensive cardiology care, including outpatient clinics, inpatient ward rounds, and management of acute cardiac conditions. Responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiovascular imaging, and performing appropriate procedures within the cardiology subspecialty scope. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in clinical meetings, and contributing to care pathways and protocols to ensure evidence-based, patient-centered care. The Consultant Cardiologist is also expected to support quality improvement initiatives, mentor junior medical staff, and participate in continuing professional development and, where applicable, teaching and research activities.QualificationsStrong foundation in Medicine and Cardiology, with specialist training and experience as a Consultant Cardiologist.Competence in Interventional Cardiology procedures and Vascular disease management, or a demonstrated interest and experience in these areas.Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine applications in cardiology, including interpretation of nuclear cardiac imaging, is an advantage.Recognized medical degree and completed residency/registrar training in internal medicine and cardiology; board certification or equivalent specialist registration.Valid medical license to practice and eligibility for specialist registration with relevant national medical authorities.Demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary teams, with strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, continuous learning, and participation in clinical governance or quality improvement programs.Experience in teaching, supervision of trainees, and participation in research or clinical audits is beneficial.
