Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Consultant Critical Care Medicine to join a leading healthcare organization in the UAE. The ideal candidate will provide expert care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), manage complex medical emergencies, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose, evaluate, and manage critically ill adult patients requiring intensive care.Provide comprehensive treatment for patients with life-threatening illnesses and multi-organ failure.Lead the management of mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced life support interventions.Perform critical care procedures including central venous catheterization, arterial line insertion, endotracheal intubation, bronchoscopy, and bedside ultrasound-guided procedures.Coordinate with specialists, surgeons, emergency physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.Supervise ICU rounds and ensure evidence-based management protocols are followed.Respond promptly to medical emergencies, code blue activations, and rapid response team calls.Participate in infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and ICU quality improvement initiatives.Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies, international guidelines, and regulatory standards.Mentor junior physicians, residents, and ICU staff while contributing to continuous medical education and research activities.Qualifications:Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a specialization in Critical Care Medicine.Board Certification or equivalent recognized qualification in Critical Care Medicine.Minimum 5–7 years of post-board experience as a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine.Certification in ACLS is required; additional certifications such as FCCS or ECMO training are advantageous.Strong expertise in ventilator management, sepsis care, shock management, renal replacement therapy, and advanced critical care procedures.Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.Preferred SkillsExpertise in managing medical, surgical, trauma, and neurocritical care patients.Experience with point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced ICU environments.BenefitsCompetitive tax-free salary.Comprehensive health insurance.Annual paid leave and airfare allowance.End-of-service benefits as per UAE labor law.Professional development and continuing medical education (CME) opportunities.Opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art healthcare facility with a multidisciplinary team.
