We're Hiring | Consultant Emergency Medicine 📍 Location: Dubai💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician with American Board Certification to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE.The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in emergency medicine, advanced resuscitation, trauma management, and the assessment and stabilization of critically ill patients. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment, leadership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department (ED)Evaluate and manage acute medical, surgical, traumatic, and life-threatening emergenciesLead rapid assessment, resuscitation, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patientsManage complex emergencies, including acute coronary syndromes, stroke, respiratory failure, sepsis, shock, and major traumaPerform advanced emergency procedures, including endotracheal intubation, advanced airway management, vascular access, procedural sedation, and emergency interventions, within authorized clinical privilegesLead cardiopulmonary resuscitation, advanced cardiac life support, and multidisciplinary trauma resuscitationInterpret diagnostic investigations, including ECG, X-rays, CT scans, laboratory results, and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS)Develop and implement evidence-based emergency treatment plans for adult and pediatric patients within the authorized scope of practiceManage patients presenting with acute neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and metabolic emergenciesCoordinate emergency consultations, specialist referrals, hospital admissions, transfers, and discharge planningOversee clinical decision-making and patient flow to support efficient and safe emergency department operationsSupervise and mentor emergency medicine specialists, junior physicians, residents, and other clinical team membersCollaborate with intensivists, cardiologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, neurologists, and other multidisciplinary specialistsProvide clinical leadership during mass-casualty incidents, disaster response, and major emergency situations when requiredEnsure timely communication with patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, emergency interventions, and clinical outcomesMaintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with DHA regulations, emergency department protocols, infection control, and patient-safety standardsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality reviews, research, teaching, and CME activitiesContribute to the development and implementation of emergency medicine protocols, clinical pathways, and departmental quality standardsRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degreeCompletion of an accredited Emergency Medicine Residency Training ProgramAmerican Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) is mandatoryRecognized postgraduate qualification in Emergency MedicineMinimum 5-10 years of relevant post-specialization clinical experience in Emergency Medicine is preferredStrong expertise in managing high-acuity emergency cases, major trauma, resuscitation, and critical care stabilizationDemonstrated competence in advanced airway management, emergency procedures, and evidence-based emergency treatmentValid BLS and ACLS certifications; ATLS and PALS certifications are highly desirableExperience working in high-volume emergency departments or major tertiary-care hospitalsEligible for DHA Consultant Emergency Medicine classification/license in Dubai, subject to applicable UAE PQR qualification and experience requirementsExcellent clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary and attractive benefits packageMedical insuranceAnnual paid leave and other benefits as per UAE Labour Law and facility policyProfessional development and CME opportunitiesModern, well-equipped emergency department facilities with advanced diagnostic and resuscitation technologiesCollaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environmentLicensing assistance available for eligible candidates
