Job PurposeResponsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality medical care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of endocrine disorders. The role includes evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring adherence to clinical standards, patient safety requirements, and quality improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct patient assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.Manage outpatient clinics and provide specialized endocrinology consultations.Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.Prescribe medications, therapies, and other appropriate medical interventions.Explain diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures to patients and their families.Coordinate care with other specialties and healthcare professionals when needed.Perform and supervise diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within granted clinical privileges.Participate in inpatient care, including patient admissions, rounds, and discharge planning.Ensure accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation.Review and validate clinical documentation prepared by junior medical staff.Supervise and mentor physicians, residents, interns, and other healthcare team members.Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance activities.Attend emergency situations and on-call duties as assigned.Contribute to medical education, research, training programs, and community health awareness initiatives.Promote patient-centered care while maintaining compassion, dignity, and respect.Participate in departmental committees and support organizational objectives.Perform additional duties within the scope of professional knowledge, skills, and competencies.QualificationsMedical Degree from a recognized institution.Completion of internship and residency training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.Postgraduate qualification in Endocrinology.Fellowship, Board Certification, or equivalent specialty qualification.ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of post-specialization experience in a tertiary care setting.Subspecialty training or advanced expertise in a focused area of endocrinology is preferred.Licensure & CertificationsValid professional license to practice medicine.Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent credential in Endocrinology.Eligibility for registration with relevant health regulatory authorities.Core CompetenciesClinical expertise in endocrinology and metabolic disorders.Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities.Leadership and team management capabilities.Commitment to quality, patient safety, and continuous professional development.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
