The team is committed to continuous improvement, regularly enhancing processes and standards to ensure services are delivered correctly and efficiently from the start.Role Description The Consultant Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive gastroenterology and hepatology care to inpatients and outpatients, including diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and follow-up management. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical consultations, performing endoscopic procedures (such as upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy), interpreting diagnostic test results, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The role involves participation in ward rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives, as well as maintaining accurate medical records and adhering to clinical protocols and ethical standards. This is a full-time, on-site position based at Batra Heart & Multispeciality Hospital in Faridabad, with regular hospital hours and participation in emergency and on-call duties as required.Qualifications Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and completed postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine (MD or equivalent), followed by a DM/DNB or equivalent super-specialization in Gastroenterology.Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council and eligibility to practice as a specialist in Gastroenterology.Demonstrated clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, including both acute and chronic conditions.Proficiency in performing and interpreting endoscopic procedures and related diagnostic interventions, with a strong focus on patient safety and infection control.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including the ability to explain complex conditions in clear, respectful language.Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and adherence to hospital protocols, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment, manage time and caseload efficiently, and contribute to departmental audits and quality improvement activities.Prior experience in a tertiary care or multispeciality hospital setting is preferred; exposure to teaching, mentoring junior medical staff, or participating in clinical research is an added advantage.
