We're Hiring | Consultant General Surgeon📍 Location: Dubai💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care, managing a broad range of elective and emergency general surgical conditions while ensuring safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered treatment.Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage a broad range of general surgical conditions in adult patientsPerform elective and emergency general surgical procedures within the scope of practiceManage gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, colorectal, breast, hernia, and other general surgical conditionsPerform appropriate open, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive surgical procedures where qualifiedConduct comprehensive preoperative assessments and provide postoperative care and follow-upEvaluate patients presenting with acute abdominal pain, surgical infections, trauma, and other urgent surgical conditionsDevelop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, diagnostic investigations, and patient needsCollaborate with anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, radiologists, oncologists, and other specialistsProvide surgical consultations and second opinions for complex casesCounsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and expected outcomesEnsure appropriate perioperative management, patient safety, and infection-control practicesMaintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policiesParticipate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching activities where applicableRequirementsQualificationsMedical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institutionRecognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery, in accordance with applicable UAE licensing requirementsAdditional fellowship or advanced training in a relevant surgical subspecialty is desirableEligible for or holding a valid DHA Consultant license/eligibility in the relevant specialtyDemonstrated experience in general surgical diagnosis, treatment, and proceduresStrong clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and decision-making skillsExperience in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery is desirableExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare teamCommitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional developmentBenefitsCompetitive compensation packageProfessional working environment in DubaiOpportunities to work with a multidisciplinary healthcare teamAccess to modern surgical facilities and diagnostic resourcesOpportunities for professional growth and development
