About the CompanyStafmed is currently recruiting an experienced Consultant Geriatrician for an exciting full-time opportunity with a leading hospital in Abu Dhabi.About the RoleWe are looking for a highly experienced Consultant Geriatrician with strong expertise in managing complex medical conditions affecting older adults. The successful candidate will work closely with internal medicine physicians, rehabilitation teams, allied health professionals and other specialists to provide comprehensive, patient-centred care.ResponsibilitiesAssess and manage elderly patients with complex and multiple medical conditionsProvide comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop individualised care plansManage frailty, falls, cognitive impairment, dementia, delirium and polypharmacyCoordinate care with internal medicine, rehabilitation, neurology and other specialtiesSupport discharge planning and continuity of care for elderly patientsParticipate actively in multidisciplinary team meetingsProvide clear and timely clinical documentationContribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and service developmentSupport teaching, training and departmental education where requiredQualificationsBoard certification in Internal Medicine and Geriatric MedicineRecognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, such as the ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, or an equivalent recognised qualificationA minimum of 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Geriatric MedicineEligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH or MOHAPRequired SkillsStrong experience in comprehensive geriatric assessmentExpertise in managing frailty, dementia, delirium, falls and polypharmacySolid background in Internal MedicineExperience working within a multidisciplinary elderly-care serviceExcellent clinical judgement, communication and teamwork skillsAbility to manage complex and high-risk elderly patientsPay Range and Compensation PackageAn attractive tax-free package will be offered based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience
