Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the CompanyStafmed is currently recruiting a highly experienced Consultant ICU / Critical Care Medicine Specialist for an exciting full-time position with a leading hospital in the UAE.About the RoleWe are seeking a distinguished Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine / Critical Care Medicine with extensive expertise in managing critically ill adult patients within an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. The successful candidate will provide advanced critical care services, utilizing evidence-based practices, advanced monitoring technologies, and multidisciplinary approaches to deliver high-quality care for complex and critically ill patients. The successful candidate will join a progressive healthcare environment committed to excellence in critical care, patient safety, and delivering comprehensive intensive care services.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive critical care management for critically ill patients in the ICUManage complex medical, surgical, trauma, and post-operative intensive care casesPerform and oversee advanced critical care procedures and interventionsManage respiratory failure, sepsis, shock, multi-organ dysfunction, and other life-threatening conditionsProvide comprehensive pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative critical care supportDevelop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and evidence-based guidelinesCollaborate with physicians across multiple specialties, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and medical teams, to ensure optimal patient outcomesParticipate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiativesSupport medical education, training, and departmental developmentQualificationsBoard certification in Intensive Care Medicine / Critical Care Medicine or equivalentRecognised Tier 1 qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, or an equivalent recognised qualificationMinimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Intensive Care / Critical Care MedicineEligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAPRequired SkillsExtensive experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) managementExpertise in managing critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditionsAdvanced airway management and mechanical ventilation expertiseExperience with critical care procedures, invasive monitoring, and life-support interventionsStrong clinical decision-making and leadership skillsExcellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilitiesStrong commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous quality improvementCompensationAn attractive tax-free package will be offered based on qualifications, clinical expertise, and professional experience.
