Consultant Infectious Diseases

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Infectious Diseases to provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with complex infectious diseases. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care, infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and evidence-based clinical practice.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic infectious diseases in adult patients.Provide specialist consultation for complex, unusual, and severe infections.Manage patients with sepsis, bloodstream infections, respiratory infections, tuberculosis, HIV, viral infections, fungal infections, and other infectious conditions.Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, laboratory results, imaging, and microbiological investigations.Provide guidance on appropriate antimicrobial selection, dosing, duration, and de-escalation.Participate in antimicrobial stewardship and infection-control initiatives.Collaborate with microbiology, internal medicine, intensive care, surgery, oncology, and other specialties.Review microbiology and pathology reports and provide appropriate clinical interpretation.Participate in infection prevention and control programs, including outbreak investigation and management.Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations as required.Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient medical records.Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and follow-up.Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, teaching, and research activities.Stay updated with current international guidelines, emerging infections, and advances in infectious disease management.RequirementsMedical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.Specialist qualification in Infectious Diseases or an equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.Valid professional license or eligibility for licensing in the relevant UAE/GCC authority.Proven clinical experience as a Consultant/Senior Specialist in Infectious Diseases.Strong knowledge of infectious disease diagnosis, antimicrobial therapy, and infection-control practices.Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.Preferred ExperienceExperience in a tertiary-care hospital or academic medical center.Experience managing critically ill patients and complex infections.Knowledge of antimicrobial stewardship and hospital infection-control programs.Experience with teaching, clinical research, and quality improvement initiatives.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Professional growth and career development opportunities.Supportive multidisciplinary clinical environment.Opportunity to work within a leading healthcare organization in the UAE/GCC.
