We're Hiring | Consultant Intensivist📍 Location: Dubai💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are looking for an experienced Consultant Intensivist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in managing critically ill patients, intensive care procedures, and complex life-threatening conditions, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and multidisciplinary patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Manage patients with sepsis, septic shock, acute respiratory failure, ARDS, multi-organ dysfunction, and other life-threatening conditionsProvide advanced airway management, invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, and respiratory supportPerform and supervise critical care procedures, including endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, and other invasive interventionsManage hemodynamically unstable patients requiring vasopressor support, fluid resuscitation, and advanced cardiovascular monitoringEvaluate and manage patients with complex medical, surgical, neurological, and post-operative critical care needsLead emergency resuscitation, rapid response interventions, and critical care consultationsDevelop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, laboratory investigations, imaging, and continuous patient monitoringManage sedation, analgesia, nutritional support, infection prevention, and ventilator-weaning strategiesCoordinate advanced organ-support therapies, including continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), where available and within scope of expertiseIdentify and manage ICU complications, including hospital-acquired infections, delirium, and organ dysfunctionOversee patient stabilization, ICU admission, transfer, discharge planning, and continuity of careCollaborate with anesthesiologists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, surgeons, nephrologists, neurologists, and other multidisciplinary specialistsSupervise and mentor ICU physicians, residents, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionalsCommunicate effectively with patients' families regarding clinical conditions, treatment plans, prognosis, and critical care decisionsEnsure compliance with ICU protocols, infection control, clinical governance, and patient-safety standardsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activitiesRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent medical degreeRecognized postgraduate qualification in Intensive Care Medicine / Critical Care Medicine, or a recognized primary specialty with accredited subspecialty training in Critical CareBoard certification or equivalent recognized consultant qualificationFellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Intensive Care Medicine is highly desirableMinimum 5-10 years of relevant post-specialization experience, including substantial experience in intensive care medicineStrong expertise in managing critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditionsDemonstrated competence in mechanical ventilation, advanced airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and invasive ICU proceduresExperience managing high-acuity ICU patients and leading multidisciplinary critical care teamsEligible for DHA Consultant classification/license in Dubai, subject to applicable qualification and experience requirementsExcellent clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and decision-making skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary and attractive benefits packageMedical insuranceAnnual paid leave and other benefits as per UAE Labour Law and facility policyProfessional development and CME opportunitiesModern, well-equipped intensive care facilitiesCollaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environmentLicensing assistance available for eligible candidates
