We work across multiple industries, with significant exposure to energy, infrastructure, industrial and engineering-intensive businesses.The role offers an opportunity to work on diverse consulting engagements, often involving complex business problems that require a combination of financial, commercial, operational and strategic analysis.We are particularly interested in individuals who can look beyond the immediate assignment, understand the underlying business problem, and develop structured, evidence-based solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be expected to contribute to engagements involving:
- Business and investment advisory: Developing business plans, conducting feasibility studies, evaluating investment opportunities, and assessing the commercial and financial viability of proposed ventures.
- Financial analysis and modelling: Building and reviewing financial models, developing forecasts, evaluating alternative scenarios, and conducting investment appraisals.
- Market and commercial assessments: Undertaking market research, demand and supply analysis, competitor assessments, industry benchmarking, and value-chain analysis.
- Strategy and business planning: Supporting the formulation of business strategies, evaluating growth opportunities, and translating strategic objectives into actionable business plans.
- Organizational and operational improvement: Assessing operating models, organizational structures, business processes, policies and procedures, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Performance and financial assessments: Analysing business and project performance, cost structures, operating efficiencies, and commercial arrangements.
- Consulting deliverables: Preparing analytical reports, business cases, management presentations, and recommendations supported by quantitative and qualitative evidence.Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone with the following attributes:Professional background
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in management consulting, business advisory, transaction advisory, corporate strategy, financial advisory, or a comparable analytical role.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- An MBA or a professional qualification such as CFA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Prior exposure to energy, industrial, infrastructure, or capital-intensive businesses would be an advantage, although we are equally interested in candidates from other sectors.Analytical and technical capabilities
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities, including proficiency in financial analysis and Excel-based financial modelling.
- Ability to undertake independent research, interpret information from multiple sources, and draw commercially meaningful conclusions.
- Understanding of fundamental business concepts, including financial statements, business models, cost structures, investment appraisal, and market dynamics.
- Ability to structure complex or unfamiliar problems into manageable analytical components.
- Proficiency in preparing professional reports and presentations, particularly using PowerPoint and Excel.
