The organization emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based care and a collaborative clinical environment for healthcare professionals.Role Description The Consultant Medical Oncology role is a full-time, on-site position based at Prakriya Hospitals in Bengaluru. The consultant will manage oncology patients across outpatient, inpatient, and day-care settings, including diagnosis, staging, treatment planning, and administration of chemotherapy and other systemic therapies. Daily responsibilities include clinical assessment, reviewing investigations, coordinating multidisciplinary tumor boards, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols. The role involves close collaboration with surgical, radiation, and supportive care teams, guiding patients and families through treatment options and follow-up plans. The consultant will also participate in emergency oncology care, contribute to quality improvement, mentor junior clinicians, and support training initiatives within the department.Qualifications Strong foundation in Medicine with specialized training in Medical Oncology or related oncology disciplines.Experience collaborating and working with physicians from multidisciplinary specialties, including surgical and radiation oncology.Exposure to Emergency Medicine or management of acute oncologic emergencies in hospital settings.Background in Cardiology or familiarity with cardio-oncology considerations is an added advantage.Experience in Training and mentoring residents, junior doctors, and clinical staff.Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with relevant postgraduate qualification (MD/DNB in Medicine or Internal Medicine, DM/DNB in Medical Oncology or equivalent).Valid medical registration and eligibility to practice in India.Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.Ability to work effectively in high-acuity environments and participate in rotational duties as required.
