Hindustan Wellness is committed to providing comprehensive wellness solutions through integrated, patient-centered care.Role Description The Consultant Microbiologist (M.D) will provide expert microbiology oversight for diagnostic services, ensuring accurate interpretation and validation of laboratory results on a daily basis. Responsibilities include supervising microbiology laboratory operations, setting and reviewing protocols, monitoring quality control, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and accreditation standards. The role involves collaborating with clinicians, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to support patient management, infection control, and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives. The Consultant Microbiologist will also participate in training and mentoring laboratory staff, contributing to continuous improvement and evidence-based practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram.Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (M.D) in Microbiology from a recognized institution, with valid medical registration as per applicable regulations.Strong expertise in clinical microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, and serology, with the ability to interpret complex results.Experience in laboratory management, including protocol development, quality assurance, and adherence to national and international guidelines.Knowledge of infection control practices and antimicrobial stewardship, with the ability to collaborate on hospital and community infection prevention programs.Familiarity with modern diagnostic techniques and laboratory technologies, including automated systems and relevant software tools.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and guiding laboratory personnel.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.Prior experience in a high-volume diagnostic or hospital-based microbiology laboratory is highly beneficial.Willingness to work on-site in Gurugram and contribute to the organization’s preventive healthcare and “health at home” mission.
