We're Hiring | Consultant Ophthalmologist📍 Location: Dubai💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Ophthalmologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive ophthalmic care, including the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment of a broad range of eye conditions, while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic consultations and eye examinationsDiagnose and manage a broad range of ocular conditions affecting the anterior and posterior segments of the eyePerform appropriate ophthalmic surgical procedures within the scope of practiceEvaluate and manage cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, corneal conditions, and other eye diseasesPerform cataract surgery and other relevant procedures where qualifiedManage emergency ophthalmic presentations and provide timely treatmentInterpret ophthalmic diagnostic investigations, including OCT, visual fields, fundus imaging, and other relevant testsDevelop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needsProvide preoperative assessments and postoperative care and follow-upCollaborate with optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, anesthesiologists, and other specialistsProvide consultations and second opinions for complex ophthalmic casesCounsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and expected outcomesMaintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policiesParticipate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching activities where applicableRequirementsQualificationsMedical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institutionRecognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology, in accordance with applicable UAE licensing requirementsAdditional fellowship or advanced training in a relevant ophthalmic subspecialty is desirableEligible for or holding a valid DHA Consultant license/eligibility in the relevant specialtyDemonstrated experience in ophthalmic diagnosis, treatment, and surgical proceduresStrong clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and decision-making skillsExperience in cataract surgery and other relevant ophthalmic procedures is desirableExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare teamCommitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional developmentBenefitsCompetitive compensation packageProfessional working environment in DubaiOpportunities to work with a multidisciplinary healthcare teamAccess to modern ophthalmic facilities and diagnostic resourcesOpportunities for professional growth and development
