We're Hiring | Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon 📍 Location: Dubai💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with a recognized PQR Tier 1 qualification to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in orthopedic surgery, musculoskeletal disorders, trauma management, and minimally invasive surgical techniques, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and high-quality surgical outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditionsPerform elective and emergency orthopedic surgical procedures within the scope of clinical expertiseDiagnose and manage fractures, dislocations, ligament injuries, tendon disorders, joint diseases, and degenerative musculoskeletal conditionsPerform appropriate orthopedic procedures, including fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint reconstruction, and joint replacement surgery, where appropriately trainedEvaluate and manage patients with osteoarthritis, sports injuries, traumatic orthopedic conditions, and chronic joint disordersProvide surgical and non-surgical management of upper and lower limb conditionsPerform advanced laparoscopic-free, minimally invasive orthopedic procedures and other relevant surgical interventions within the authorized scope of practiceAssess and manage complex orthopedic trauma and post-traumatic musculoskeletal conditionsProvide comprehensive pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, informed consent, and post-operative follow-upIdentify and manage post-operative complications, including infection, implant-related problems, and delayed bone healingInterpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and musculoskeletal ultrasoundDevelop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans in collaboration with physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialistsCollaborate with rheumatologists, neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, pain specialists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionalsSupervise and mentor junior orthopedic surgeons, residents, and surgical team membersProvide patient education regarding surgical procedures, treatment options, risks, rehabilitation, and preventive careMaintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with clinical governance, infection control, and patient-safety standardsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activitiesRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent medical degreeRecognized postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery / Orthopedics & TraumatologyPQR Tier 1 recognized specialist qualification is requiredBoard certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualificationMinimum 5-10 years of relevant post-specialization experience in Orthopedic Surgery, subject to qualification and regulatory requirementsStrong clinical and surgical experience in managing complex musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditionsDemonstrated competence in orthopedic trauma surgery, arthroscopy, joint reconstruction, and other relevant surgical proceduresExperience with advanced minimally invasive orthopedic techniques is highly desirableEligible for MOHAP Consultant classification/license in Sharjah, subject to applicable UAE PQR qualification and experience requirementsExcellent surgical, clinical, leadership, communication, and patient-management skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary and attractive benefits packageMedical insuranceAnnual paid leave and other benefits as per UAE Labour Law and facility policyProfessional development and CME opportunitiesModern, well-equipped orthopedic surgical facilitiesCollaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environmentLicensing assistance available for eligible candidates
