The ideal candidate will have specialized expertise in the surgical management of congenital, developmental, traumatic, and acquired conditions in newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive surgical assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric patientsPerform elective and emergency pediatric surgical procedures within the scope of clinical expertiseManage congenital and developmental surgical conditions in neonates, infants, children, and adolescentsPerform pediatric abdominal, gastrointestinal, and urological surgical procedures as appropriateManage pediatric surgical emergencies, including acute abdominal conditions, trauma, and intestinal obstructionProvide surgical management of congenital anomalies and developmental disordersPerform minimally invasive and laparoscopic pediatric procedures where appropriately trainedParticipate in neonatal and pediatric surgical care, including pre-operative and post-operative managementProvide appropriate pre-operative counselling and post-operative follow-up to patients and their familiesCollaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, pediatric intensivists, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and other multidisciplinary specialistsEnsure safe surgical practices and adherence to evidence-based clinical protocolsMaintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with patient-safety and clinical governance standardsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, research, and CME activitiesRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent medical degreeRecognized postgraduate qualification in General SurgeryFellowship or advanced training in Pediatric SurgeryBoard certification or equivalent recognized specialist/consultant qualificationMinimum 5-10 years of post-specialization experience, with significant pediatric surgical experienceStrong experience in pediatric and neonatal surgical proceduresExperience in pediatric surgical emergencies and minimally invasive surgery is highly desirableEligible for DHA Consultant classification/license in DubaiExcellent clinical, communication, leadership, and patient-management skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary and attractive benefits packageMedical insuranceAnnual paid leave and other benefits as per UAE Labour Law and facility policyProfessional development and CME opportunitiesModern multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare environmentLicensing assistance available for eligible candidates
