Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe're Hiring | Consultant Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Abu Dhabi and Sharjah📍 Location: Abu Dhabi and Sharjah💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive rehabilitation care for patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and disabling conditions. The role focuses on restoring function, reducing pain, improving mobility, and enhancing patients' quality of life through multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs and evidence-based treatment approaches.Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with physical disabilities, functional impairments, and rehabilitation needs. Develop individualized rehabilitation plans for patients with neurological, orthopedic, musculoskeletal, spinal cord, brain injury, stroke, amputation, chronic pain, and sports-related conditions. Perform comprehensive functional assessments and coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs. Manage inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including joint injections, trigger point injections, spasticity management, ultrasound-guided procedures, and Botulinum toxin injections where appropriate. Prescribe rehabilitation therapies, assistive devices, orthotics, prosthetics, and mobility aids. Collaborate closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, pain specialists, and other healthcare professionals. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal functional outcomes. Provide patient and family education regarding rehabilitation goals, recovery, and long-term management. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical governance, and regulatory standards. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing medical education (CME). Mentor junior physicians, residents, therapists, and allied healthcare professionalsRequirementsQualifications MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution. MD, DNB, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) / Rehabilitation Medicine. American Board, Canadian Board, CCT, FRCP, Arab Board, European Board, or equivalent recognized Consultant qualification in PM&R.
